At PHP a multitude of complementary techniques are used to optimizing the skeletal-muscular system, recover from injury, and to restore function. Techniques used by our practitioners include:

MAT™ - Muscle Activation Techniques™ (MAT™) is a biomechanical evaluation and treatment process that identifies limited range of motion and muscle inhibition. MAT is a revolutionary approach to treating the muscular system and has been successful in restoring motion and control around joints. MAT™ addresses dysfunction at its source, reducing compensations and significantly improving functional strength capabilities.

MET™ - Muscle Energy Technique is used for the identification and correction of somatic asymmetry and hypomobility. Muscle Energy is based on evidence-based neuro-physiological principles related to joint position and muscle tone.

ELDOA™ Method - The ELDOA™ are postural exercises (LOADS) that you can do yourself with the primary goal being to increase the space within a chosen articulation. As the ELDOA “create” space, there is an improvement in joint mechanics, increased blood flow, reduced pressure on the discs, a reduction of pain, spinal disc rehydration, better muscle tone, improved posture, and a sense of well being and awareness.

SomaTherapy - The SomaTherapy Program involves the treatment of the joints, soft tissues, visceral and neuromuscular function, and motor control.
